Five Friday :: Third Trimester Must Haves

Third Trimester Must Haves

I had a bit of trouble coming up with some of my must haves for my third trimester. Honestly, it has been such a blur that I really had to think about some of the things that I have been using every day.

Many of my things from my first and second trimesters are still necessary: CamelBak eddy Water BottleSnoogle Total Body PillowMAMA Super Skinny JeansVitamin E Skin Care Cream, and Belly Sport Band. But I manage to put together a list for y'all anyways for this fabulous Friday! Just a couple more weeks for me and I cannot wait to meet our little man!

1. Extra Strength Antacid Assorted Berry Chewable Tablets

So I have been super anti-medicine this entire pregnancy. Beyond a few Children's Claritin, this gal has dealt with the allergies, the headaches, and the heartburn. But in the past few weeks, it has really just been too much. Heartburn in the morning for hours until I feel like I am going to puke and back again for a solid two to three hours in the middle of the night. The real kicker has been how it has been messing with my sleep! Adding heartburn woes to my nightly pee trips and flipping from one side to other to find some sort of comfort has really been a bummer.

I have NEVER had heartburn until my pregnancy. I did not even really know what it was until about day three of its first appearance, so for whatever reason, I have been against any antacids, thinking that they probably wouldn't help much anyways. Until last night, I have been dealing with all the heartburn... and then a stubborn friend demanding that I try one. It tastes like candy! It has calcium! My heartburn is gone!

I wish I would have had these and not been so stubborn for the past weeks... 🙂

2. TUMMY TAMER Essential Oil Roll-On

Continuing my heart burn saga, I have used this (along with apples) pre-discovering antacids and it helps definitely been a blessing. This blend helps alleviate loads of tummy issues: indigestion, cramps, upset stomach, vomiting, belching, bloating, heartburn and gas. It also assists the liver in producing enzymes and helps to balance intestinal activity, relieve motion sickness, jet lag, UTIs, diarrhea and hiccups.

Made with organic essential oils of peppermint, juniper berry, anise seed, fennel seed, ginger root, and tarragon, it smells lovely and great to add to the top of my stomach and chest when I have heart burn. Of course, ladies who are pregnant or nursing should always consult their physician before using products containing essential oils; however, I got the thumbs up from mine.

3. Sanuk Yoga Flip-Flop

Although I can still tie my own shoes, it is not easy; however, I love my Sanuk's. They are soft, comfortable, and wonderful. Perfect for my feet and my current difficulty with shoes.

4. Women's Solid Fluid Knit Chemise - Gilligan & O'Malley

Pants and I just do not get along much anymore. Yes, I wear them... but honestly, they are tight and not the most comfortable thing. Even my PJ pants and maternity leggings are not necessarily ideal when it comes to a comfortable sleep. I bought this knit dress in hopes of utilizing it post-birth when it comes to nursing, but I have been wearing this to bed nonstop since it was delivered. I love it!

5. Bringing Up Bébé: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting

I am in love with this book! I had it featured weeks back on my must-reads for Spring and honestly... this is the only one I have made it through! It went with us on our babymoon and I have been reading it here and there ever since. I cannot wait to keep this bedside as well to look up things and reference them once our boy is here!

xoxo, Heather
