Roller Ball Blend: Sleep

If you are looking for a new nighttime essential oil blend for sleep, you are going to love this post. One of my favorite things to talk about is supporting all of our sleep with using oils. From mine to the kids, we have used essential oils in our home to help us relax and support a good night's rest. After having my first baby who seemed to never sleep through the night (solely our bad habits and supporting mid-night cuddles) and a second who has been sleeping soundly since infancy, I know a trick or two.

I’ve been using the power of essential oils to support them rest and relaxation for a few years and here is a new blend I created recently.

This is so easy to make, so if you’ve never made a blend before, don’t be nervous. The oils I’m using for this are Lavender, Cedarwood, and Frankincense. Besides those, you’ll also need a carrier oil (I used Grapeseed oil primarily because it is cost effective and can be found at my local Aldi's) a roller bottle I snagged off of Amazon.

Fill your roller bottle with carrier oil about a 2/3 of the way full, then start adding in your oils. To do this I take the top off and use a plastic dipper that came with my roller bottles to draw the correct amount out. You will use:

  • 5 drops of Frankincense (this oils supports our nervous energy)
  • 10 drops of Cedarwood (soothing and calming)
  • 15 drops of Lavender (supports relaxation and helps you unwind)

Put the top back on the bottle and shake it up!

I wasn’t quite sure how this would smell because I hadn’t used these three together before but it smells SO good. I just love it. It’s a really relaxing scent. At bedtime, I’m putting this on the bottoms of the kids feet and also a little on the back of their necks.
