Looking Back on 31

Untitled

I might say this every year, but I really feel like I blinked and this year flew by us! Being pregnant most of the year and having a little toddler does that to you! I can’t believe it is already time for my birthday again. Around this time last year, I remember Dusty and I spending our week in Florida celebrating a year-delay bash for my 30th birthday and getting ready for summer. We knew that we wanted #2 soon, but honestly thought that we would be looking at trying to get pregnant in the fall, not just a few weeks after our trip. It's crazy how much changes in a year.

This year has been filled with a lot of change, but a lot of joy as well. My sister had her first little baby, a girl. We found out we were pregnant with baby Lillie. I had a long road through pregnancy, but Lillie eventually made it here a few weeks ago and she's honestly more perfect that we could ever imagined. Ollie is loving being a big brother as well. We opened up our home and started hosting a small group on a weekly basis, which almost had to be "shut down" twice due to participation. That was such a stressful time of looking to see what God wanted for our lives. We travelled to Disney (twice), Cleveland, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and back to my parents' house in Southern Illinois numerous times.

Our lives have been in constant motion and I know this next year will be the same. I am looking forward to my 32nd year; I know a great adventure is in store with our two little ones, the husband back in school, and my recent promotion at work. I know it will be VERY busy, but really fun as well. So, cheers, Happy Birthday to me!! Let's Eat Cake for Breakfast... or Chick-fil-a will do!

xoxo, Heather
