3 Months Old

Today my baby boy is no longer a newborn?! He's an infant? Nope. I'm not going to think about it. Here I go again, sounding like a complete broken record...

So we started back to work this month which meant figuring out sitters, conference calls with a crying baby in the background, morning routines, travel, and so much more. I feel like how it all landed out on the calendar was amazingly lucky. We had two days of "back-to-work" and then the weekend. Combine that with Labor Day weekend, two trips to Columbus, and a mini-dad/Ollie vaca (I joined in on the weekend) in Austin, I am so grateful that we did not have to pull the rug underneath the whole Ollie/mommy time during the day.

With that being said, I am so glad that I am back at work. I know some moms say that they could not even imagine going back, and don't get me wrong, it is way harder than I ever imagine; however, I am finally feeling like my own person again. I can think past baby Ollie and have began to remember how much I love helping others.

As for firsts, well... Ollie has now visited five states and two baseball stadiums. Add a seven hour car trip, four plane rides, and eight major cities to that. We have basically a world traveler on our hands. With that being said, I have no real clue if Ollie is on a schedule. He sleeps well at night still, getting up about once to eat, and beyond that, he's gaining weight well and eating well. That is truly all we can ask for.

Other firsts: hike, parade, golf outing, and giggle!

xoxo, Heather
