Five Friday :: Places I Want to Go in 2016

Hey, friends! I am starting a new segment this year called "Five Friday" in hopes to give you some updates, dreams, and just a quick check in at the end of the week. Typically, I am not very good at keeping up with my posts that I turn into a "series" but this is a new year... and we'll see how it goes!

This week I wanted to share with you the places that I cannot wait to travel to in 2016. With a baby on the way and a continuous home renovation, travel is lite but that does not mean we cannot have fun. I travel a bit for work here and there and we already have our babymoon planned for March! I cannot wait for this trip as it has been almost two years since Dusty and I have went away for a full week. Short trips are nice, but it really takes us a full week to disconnect from our jobs and relax.

Here are five places that I would LOVE to travel to this year!

Sheraton Buganvilias Resort

In just a couple of weeks, we are headed to Mexico. I am lucky enough to work for a company that has a holiday party post-holidays in amazing places. This year = Mexico. It will be a short weekend for the Bahorich's but I cannot wait to explore the town. With that being said... any suggestions for visiting Mexico and pregnant? I know, I know... don't drink the water, but most of the excursions count me out due to my baby bump. Even the "easy" adventure ones... any suggestions would be great!

1. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico :: Sheraton Buganvillias Resort

If you have not read by now, we are lovers of Disney and the Disney Vacation Club. We went on our honeymoon and try to make it to something Disney-ish at least once a year. Our "home resort" is in Vero Beach and we have not been yet! So for our babymoon in March, we are headed south for a week of Disney plus the beach. I think for a gal that will be 27 weeks, a full seven days at the parks would be too much... but relaxing with my toes in the sand, yes please. We also plan on doing a day of baseball, hitting up a golf course, and maybe the spa. Yah!

2. Vero Beach, Florida :: Disney's Vero Beach Resort

Spring Training. We absolutely love, love, love baseball. We were lucky enough to see the Cardinals play last year against the Atlanta Braves at Wide World of Sports on Disney property, but we have yet to make it to Roger Dean Stadium and Cardinals Spring Training stomping grounds. It is just a short drive from Vero Beach!

3. Jupiter, Florida :: Roger Dean Stadium

I cannot wait for our weekend at Disney World. Being pregnant at Disney will be a brand new experience for me and I plan on taking it easy; however, I am so excited that Dusty and I can visit the parks one more time without having to leave kiddos behind us. We have an amazing dinner at California Grill planned during the fireworks and then a full (yet easy) day at the parks before heading home from our babymoon!

4. Walt Disney World :: Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

There's no picture because I have not really decided what this is going to be yet. With both of our major adventures planned for the beginning of the year, I really want to reserve something closer to fall with our little one. Something simple, within driving distance, that we can do as a family. Chicago? Kansas City? Nashville? Memphis? Indianapolis? Really the options are endless.

5. Weekend Getaway

Where are you planning on traveling in 2016?

xoxo, Heather
