Week 15 Bumpdate

size of the baby :: Pear

total weight gain :: 2 pounds (I was up more after the holiday eating this past weekend, but it lasted about 30 seconds and I was back down.)

gender :: Unknown, but I am going public on saying I think the baby is a Boy. Dusty and I both gravitate to Girl things... names, clothes, colors, bows, everything Girl... but I think it's a Boy. Honestly, we just pray for a healthy and happy baby, regardless of a Boy or Girl.

maternity clothes :: I may never take my maternity jeans off, even after pregnancy. They are just lovely. I was given the "permission" by a friend who is pregnant with her third child to wear my maternity jeans after week 8. I didn't have any by then, but I do now and wear them constantly. I have also been searching the clearance racks for summer gear as I have been in and out of stores over the holidays. 47 cents shorts from Old Navy? $5 bathing suit from Loft? Yes please.

movement :: Nothing so far.

sleep :: It's getting better. For the past few weeks, sleep was few and far between. My dreams have been crazy and I could not get comfortable. Then my lovely husband bought me a Snoogle for Christmas and it is the best thing ever. Five nights of glorious sleep... I'm still dreaming tons, but sleeping well.

missing :: Deli sandwiches. I know this is up and down for some if you can or cannot have deli meat; however, I'm choosing not to. But I do miss it especially when we are running in and out of the house and I need a quick snack. Also, anything holiday appetizers with deli meat (pinwheels, buckeyes, whatever).

craving :: Overall, this pregnancy has been all about the carbs. I am not a carb girl. My first few weeks was focused on double cheeseburgers, pizza, pasta. I've moved more toward donut holes and pizza rolls. Of course, nothing healthy and so I'm limiting myself...

symptoms :: I am super thankful that I have not had really any morning sickness. Since the Snoogle, sleepiness is not really an issue this week either. Some cramping/pains here and there, and starting to just feel more bloated as my stomach grows. And even though I swore pregnancy brain was not a thing... it is, more and more.

duston is :: Excited and patient. In between the normal holiday stress, my hormones, and my forgetfulness, his patience has been key this week. He got this book called The Guy's Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Childbirth and the First Year of Fatherhood for Christmas and it looks hilarious.

looking forward to :: Our next appointment, gender reveal, our Mexico trip, and starting on the baby's room. All happening in January!

best moments :: This week has been pretty uneventful considering the holidays but I guess I’ll say these past few weeks finally announcing our pregnancy to everyone. We did it in steps with family, friends, work, online, everything... but now it is just a thing. I really do not like being the center of attention so some of these announcements were harder for me honestly, but I'm just glad everybody knows.

xoxo, Heather
