I am absolutely fascinated about how things are made, how they are created, how they became to be. Living in Budweiser headquarters, you would think that a brewery tour would be a typical activity -- especially since it is free. This is definitely not the case. And actually, it took us until our trip last year in Boston to visit our first brewery, Samuel Adam.
The brewery tour gave me such an appreciation for the different kinds of beers, and it expand my horizons. I love that I live in one of the top cities for craft breweries, bars, and beers (see the list of the Best Beer Bars here). It allows me to continue my exploration of flavors, quality, and uniqueness.
The Samuel Adam brewery tour took through the whole process from start to finish. They provided samplings along the way of the hops to the fully made product. They talked about how detailed the planning and execution of the beer is and how down to the beer packaging and glass is important.
At the end of the tour, my husband and I decided to hop on a bus to go to a highly talked about restaurant, Doyle's Cafe. Voted Boston's Best Pub, Doyle's is a historic landmark in Boston and the first home of Samuel Adam Beer. They even let us keep a Samuel Adams glass!
Since then, I still haven't been to the Budweiser brewery tour, but I have gotten to visit Harpoon Brewery on another Boston trip. The tours make me instantly a fan of the beer and I would recommend it to any one regardless if they enjoy tasting beer or not. The whole experience is so neat.
