5 Verses on Patience

5 Verses on Patience

These past few weeks have been full of me needing loads of patience. Patience in the midst of feeling like this pregnancy would never end. Patience with people asking me the same questions over and over, like "are you ready?", "tell him to hurry up already", and "how are you feeling?". Patience with each day as they started to get slower and slower. Patience with my body as it has prepared for birth.

I have been sitting in these verses and felt like I should share them with you this Friday.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. Psalm 37: 7-9

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us Hebrews 12:1

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus Romans 15:5

xoxo, Heather
