Shop Small :: Three Sweet Petites

Thank you, Three Sweet Petites, for sponsoring this post, part of the 2017 Shop Small Spring series. I was selected for this opportunity by Three Sweet Petites; the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

I said just this just a few weeks ago, but I do not share the benefits of essential oils to y’all enough. We have been tackling the flu in our home over the past week and our essential oils have came in such handy! I was laying on what felt like my death bed last weekend just thinking about all of the ways I could be spreading the love to y'all through this blog.

Now enter this lovely and adorable Small Shop into my life, Three Sweet Petites! Owner, Darlene, began creating bath products after learning about the numerous benefits of essential oils. Knowledge is power, she thought, especially when we consider what we put into and onto our bodies. So all of her beauty products are handmade to order with pure, therapeutic grade essential oils, organic herbs, salts, oils, flowers, and items you can find in any kitchen pantry. She also does not use any artificial fragrances, chemicals, or dyes! Her jewelry is hand-crafted with love and intention to promote the benefits of essential oil use. Darlene uses precious gemstones along with lava beads to allow for hours of aromatherapy.

During my family's attempt to not share the flu with one another (thankfully Ollie stayed clear of it all), I wore my essential oil diffusing necklace throughout the week. It's so adorable and cute anytime of the day; however, it was a necessity to keep enjoying the benefits of the aromatherapy so close at hand.

It is the perfect gift to a new momma in need of some good relaxation (with some lavender oils) or any gal really and you should definitely check out her shop over on Etsy. Use the code "SPRING10" will get you 10% off any purchase!

Here is a little bit more about Darlene, the owner of Three Sweet Petites:

How did you get your shop started?
When I had my first daughter, I had a difficult time finding natural products I trusted to use on her sensitive skin. I began whipping up soaps and skin care products using essential oils and bath bombs were a special treat. I have always been an avid crafter and have been making jewelry for my friends and family for many years. Oil diffusing jewelry was a natural progression and the perfect compliment to my oily life! After a few nudges from my husband, I took the plunge and opened my shop.

What is the hardest part of owning a shop?
The hardest part of owning a shop is making everyone happy: My family, my customers, my friends, and most of all, me! I have learned it is ok to make mistakes and to allow myself to take a break when needed. Every mistake is an opportunity for growth- as a shop owner and as a mom!

What is one thing unique about you?
One unique thing about me is I am also a licensed clinical social worker. I am always encouraging my clients to incorporate self-care into their daily routine- it is so important for a healthy state of mind. My products are all made with relaxation as the ultimate goal.

What is the best part of owning a shop?
The best part of owning a shop is delivering happiness in a box! I love knowing whoever opens my package will be happy and be taking a little time for themselves.

How did you get your shop name?
My shop is named after my three, sweet daughters- although they are not all petite anymore! They inspire everything I do and naming my shop after them was the least I could do!

What is one way that you keep organized?
Spreadsheets are my life!! I also clean my workspace before leaving it- every time!

How do you balance family life and work life?
I am blessed to have a very supportive husband and kids who sleep late in the mornings! I do not think any of us have it all figured out though... I look like a wind swept animal most days, but who doesn't?

xoxo, Heather
